The areas covered by the four groups were the cemetery, the lorry park(station), areas along the ECOWAS highway (N1), the market/ secondary school area and the drains along Sege-Battor road. The objective of the day was to remove debris, litter and desilt the drains. With the benevolence of a community member, the trash mainly, of plastics, bottles, obsolete household items, were collected into his truck and that of the zoomlion company to the final disposal sites. After about five (5) hours, the aesthetic view of the Sege township was neatly enhanced significantly.

Amidst the enthusiasm to rid filth from the environment, inadequate logistics was the main challenge the team faced during the exercise. Volunteers took turns to rotate brooms, shovels and other tools to complete the exercise.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Kwadwo Bour Gyamfi, commended all the participants for their dedication to bringing this initiative to a success.
