AWDA ORGANIZES ITS MONTHLY ROUTINE CLEAN-UP EXERCISE AT LOLONYA
The Ada West District Assembly through the Environmental Health Department on Thursday, 23rd April 2026 had organized and supervised a clean-up exercise at Lolonya, one of the coastal communities in the Ada West District.

This month’s clean-up exercise which was one of the routine ‘first Saturday in the month’ exercises to ensure that the district is clean to promote good health and to attract investment, was earlier postponed due to flooding that hit the Lolonya community as a result of the Palm Sunday heavy downpour in the District. The exercise was well patronage by the community members including the Assembly member for the area, Hon. Ahukessey Rockson and Unit Committee members.

The head of the Environmental Health Department, Millicent MacCarthy, who led the cleaning exercise, was happy about the community’s attendance as well as staff of the Assembly who participated in the exercise and thanked the participants on behalf of management for their efforts and commitment to ensuring that communities in the Ada West District are clean in some approximation.
