AWDA Holds Second Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourth Assembly

The Ada West District Assembly on Wednesday, 12th August 2026 held its second ordinary meeting of the third session of the fourth Assembly.
The meeting provided the platform for the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Modjifa Tanihu J.J.F Mills-Nkrumah to update the Assembly members of implementation of decisions reached by the Assembly at its earlier sitting and also to present Executive Committee report comprising of various sub-committees reports on decisions reached for consideration of the General Assembly for implementation.

AWDA Hands Over School Furniture to District Education Directorate

The Ada West District Assembly through the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Modjifa Tanihu J.J.F Mills-Nkrumah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Hon. (Apostle) Daniel Keshi Bessey and the District Coordinating Director (DCD), Namale Firimin-Roger Nabiebakye Esq, on Friday, 7th August 2026 handed over a total number of eight hundred and forty-seven (847) furniture to the Ada West Education Directorate for the use of leaners and their teachers in the district.

Greater Accra RCC Chief Director Pays a Working Visit to Ada West

The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) Chief Director, Rev. Harry Nii Kwatei Owoo on Tuesday, 21st July 2026 paid a working visit to the Ada West District Assembly.
The visit which was part of his itinerary to familiarize himself with the districts in the Greater Accra Region upon his appointment as Chief Director few months ago was also to share his vision for the Greater Accra Region with the officers which he indicated as the “5 Ps” which stand for “purpose, productivity, punctuality, professionalism and performance”. Floods Situation In Lolonya Community

Team Ada West today, the 1st of July 2026 continuous its fact finding mission relative to last Monday downpour that left most communities in the Ada West District flooded.
The visitation today took the team to the Lolonya Community where an excavator was deployed to dredge a channel to allow the lagoon to flow into the sea so flood waters in the community feeding into the lagoon can subside.

Floods Submerge Ada West District

Ghana at the moment is going through some moment of distress consequent on the rains of Sunday, 28th June through to Monday, the 29th of June 2026 and Ada West was not left out.
However, the sad story of remote districts like that of Ada West was that, because the rains were widespread with series of damages and some casualties recorded in the Capital city, Accra, it had shifted all attentions to Accra as though the rains were limited only to Accra, and also probably because there was no causalities recorded so far in areas like Ada West, though heavily affected by the rains.

Stakeholder Engagement With Church Leaders In The Wokumagbe Electoral Area On Property Rate Collection

The management of the Ada West District Assembly led by the Accounts Department on Thursday, 25th June 2026 held a stakeholder engagement with fifteen (15) churches in the Wokumagbe Electoral Area in the Ada West District on property rate collection.
The meeting which took place at the Gospel Healing Church Int premises was to provide platform to sensitize two Church leaders each from the fifteen (15) churches to appreciate the importance of revenue generation and to plead with them to use their pulpit to educate church members on property rate collection.
