DCE Familiarizes With Staff Of The District Assembly

DCE FAMILIARIZES WITH STAFF OF THE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

The newly Elected District Chief Executive, (DCE), Hon. Jerry-John Foreigner Mills-Nkrumah, conducted a familiarization tour to the departments of the Assembly, as he officially assumes office. He interacted with the staff and looked forward to a fruitful working relationship that would propel the fortunes of the district

The DCE was accompanied by the Member of Parliament (MP) of Ada West, Hon. Daniel Keshie Bessey and the District Coordinating Director (DCD), Mr. Kwadwo Bour Gyamfi. They were met with enthusiastic staff, looking forward to having a great working relationship with him.

In a related development the DCE and his entourage, during the tour, engaged the head teaches within the district who had converged for an equally important engagement. The DCE, being a teacher in active service before his appointment, took delight to fraternize with them and share his vision with them.

The District Director of Education Dr. Stephen Arthur disclosed to him some challenges facing the entire educational service in the District. Pertinent amongst them were the district wide staff accommodation challenge, teacher deficit due to high teacher attrition and logistics challenges. He also added the efforts made, through fundraising to commence a teachers’ residential facility to curb the accommodation challenge.

Both the DCE and the MP took cognizance of these challenges and pledged their support in ameliorating these challenges. The DCE called on staff, head teaches and all and sundry to come on board to collaboratively propel the development of the district.
